Mercedes-Benz X-Class Edition 1: Big Money

Australia’s new most-expensive mid-size ute will arrive in July, with the X350d-based X-Class Edition 1 checking in at a whopping $87,500 plus on-road costs. That price point pits the vehicle well above current performance ute flagships including Volkswagen’s Amarok TDI580 Ultimate ($72,790), and Ford’s Ranger Raptor ($75,390). As its name suggests, the Edition 1 will be built in limited numbers. Mercedes-Benz Vans has yet to disclose just how many units have been allocated locally. What’s new? Aston Martin Rapide AMR: Four Doors Fast

The Aston Martin Rapide AMR may well be the answer to a question nobody asked, but it’s here, it’s a V12 and it looks amazing. The Aston Martin Rapide is, let’s face it, getting old. It’s still gorgeous. It’s still one-of-a-kind and it’s the car I’d have if I needed one like it. Even though I’ve never driven it. Because it’s pretty and it’s fast and it’s an Aston Martin. Aston Martin Rapide The Rapide is an interesting thing. I actually wrote “old school” first, but it’s nothing of the…

McLaren BP23 “faster than the F1”

The next hypercar from Woking, the McLaren BP23, will definitely have three seats and will go even faster than the ground-breaking McLaren F1. McLaren BP23 Doing 340km/h probably seems unnecessary, but hey, trains do it, so why can’t cars? It’s been a long, long time since the brilliant, bucket-list F1 hit the roads. It was an epic car at a time when epic cars arrived with monotonous regularity. The BP23 is sort of in the same boat – McLaren’s own P1 is a hybrid-powered rocket, there’s the Senna and various wild…
